Senior (2018): Indoor: Became the second thrower in WAC history to win the conference weight throw title four years in a row… was first to achieve the feat since 1985… earned All-WAC first team honors for his weight throw performance (17.61m) at the WAC Indoor Track and Field Championships…  recorded a season-best shot put throw of 13.81 meters at the conference championships… took second in the weight throw (17.25m) at the Nike Jackson’s Open Invite…  added a third-place finish at the BYU Cougar Indoor Invitational in the weight throw (17.03m)… Academic All-WAC Outdoor: Received All-WAC second team recognition in the hammer throw… placed fifth in the hammer at the WAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships with a 2018 season personal record of 53.85 meters… posted a personal season best of 13.06 meters in the shot put at the WAC Championships… placed fourth in the hammer at UC Irvine (52.97m) and UC Riverside (52.46m)… tallied his second best hammer throw on the year in a fifth-place finish (53.70m) at the BYU Robison Invitational.

Junior (2017): Indoor: Earned his third straight individual title in the weight throw at the WAC Indoor Championships in Boise, Idaho… became the second thrower in WAC indoor history to win at least three league titles in the weight throw… finished career with the program’s all-time second-best mark in the weight throw (18.10m) at the WAC Championships… added a season-best 13.95-meter throw at the WAC Championships in the shot put… won the weight throw at the Boise Jacksons Open Invite with a 17.13-meter throw… took third in the weight throw at the BYU Cougar Indoor Invitational (17.16m) and Mountain States Games (17.46m)… posted the WAC’s top mark in the weight throw on the year… ranked 12th in the WAC in the shot put… Academic All-WAC.  Outdoor: Redshirted the 2017 outdoor season.
 
Sophomore (2016): Indoor: Crowned WAC individual champion in the weight throw for the second consecutive season at the WAC Indoor Championships in Boise, Idaho… recorded a then-personal record of 17.62 meters in the weight throw at the WAC Championships… tallied a season-best mark of 14.34 meters in the shot put at the Mountain States Games… Outdoor: Moved into ninth on the program all-time record chart in the discus with a 43.03-meter throw at the UVU Collegiate Invite… recorded a season best throw in the hammer of 54.76 meters at the Border Clash… placed second in the discus (42.25m) at the Cal State Los Angeles Twilight Open… finished second at the UVU Collegiate Invite in the hammer (52.33m)… finished third in the hammer at the WAC Outdoor Championships in Kansas City, Mo. … ranked third in the WAC in the hammer throw… seventh in the WAC in the discus… 12th in the WAC in the javelin… 14th in the WAC in the shot put.

Freshman (2014): Indoor: Redshirted the indoor season ... Outdoor: Placed seventh in the shot put (14.36m or 47'-01.50") and ninth in the hammer throw (49.08m or 161') at the WAC Outdoor Championships ... began his collegiate career with a second-place finish in the hammer throw at the UNLV Classic with a toss of 46.37m or 152'-01" ... also placed second in the hammer at the UVU Collegiate with a throw of 48.49m or 159'-01" ... placed third in the hammer throw at both the BYU Robison Invite and the BYU Cougar Invite with theses of 50.14m or 164'-06" and 51.74m or 169'-09" ... posted personal bests of 14.67m in the shot put and 51.74m in the hammer throw during the season.

Before Utah Valley...
Prepped at Riverton High School in Riverton, Utah...holds Riverton High shotput record 55'11.5"... at Utah State 5A championships placed 2nd in discuss and 3rd in shotput...helped Riverton to track and field state championship in 2009...as a football player named all-region team 2009, 2010, and all state in 2010.

Graduate of Riverton High School...Son of Hiram and Diane Burnett...Has two younger brothers Kyle and Mitchell...studying behavioral science-psychology...volunteers time helping refugees.
