At Utah Valley ...

SOPHOMORE ~ (2014): (INDOOR) 2014 WAC Champion in the distance medley relay as his relay team won the event at the WAC Indoor Championships with a time of 10:20.29 ... also named Second Team All-WAC in both the 800m and the mile after placing fourth in both events with respective times of 1:53.84 and 4:19.93 ... won the 800 (1:53.82) at the Boise State Challenge and the 3000 (8:42.45) at the Mountain States Games ... recorded personal records in the mile (4:18.58) and 3000 (8:42.45) during the indoor season ... (OUTDOOR) placed 11th in the 1500 and 18th in the 800 at the WAC Outdoor Championships with respective times of 4:12.46 2:02.94 ... finished second in the 1500m run at the UNLV Classic (3:55.15) and fifth in the 800 at the UVU Collegiate (1:54.02) ... posted PR's in the 800 (1:52.90) and 1500 (3:54.67). 

FRESHMAN ~ (2013): (INDOOR) Placed fourth in the 800m (1:58.63) and fifth in the mile (4:23.38) at the Great West Conference Indoor Championships ... also finished fifth in the mile at the ISU Open with a time of 4:28.45 ... (OUTDOOR) placed fifth in the 1500m (4:09.94) and sixth in the 800m (1:57.32) at the GWC Outdoor Championships ... took fifth in the 5000m at the UVU Collegiate with a time of 16:18.64 ... posted personal bests in the 800m (1:54.83), 1500m (3:57.02) and 5000m (16:18.64) during the season.

Prepped at Richfield High School ... broke the medley and two mile State Records ... won the 800m, 1600m, 3200m, and medley relay at State ... was a four time cross country Region Champion and three time State Champion ... four time Region Champion in track & field and a three time State Champion ... also lettered in basketball in high school.

Graduated from Richfield High School in 2009 with a 3.1 GPA ... enjoys swimming, and hiking ... brother Jim and his sister Kirsten Barney previously ran track at UVU ... also recruited by Weber State ... parents are Sheldon and Debra.
