Injured during 2014 season.

FRESHMAN (2013)
Particpated in seven meets for the Wolverines in 2013...Finished with two top-10 places for the year...Season-best at the UVU Invitational, placing 7th (18:41.0)...Placed 7th (25:42.2) WAC Championships and 73rd at the NCAA Mountain Region Championships (31:36.7).

REDSHIRT (2009)
Redshirted the 2009 season for UVU.

Before Utah Valley...
Prepped at Richfield High School...Broke the medley and two mile State Records...Won the 800m, 1600m, 3200m, and medley relay at State...Was a four time cross country Region Champion and three time State Champion...Four time Region Champion in track & field and a three time State Champion...Also lettered in basketball in high school.

Graduated from Richfield High School in 2009 with a 3.1 GPA...Enjoys swimming, and hiking...Brother Jim ran on the UVU track and cross country teams and his sister Kirsten Barney previously ran track at UVU...Also recruited by Weber State... Married to JaLeigh Wheeler...Parents are Sheldon and Debra.
