Wolverine Update:
The Wolverines met with BYU for the 2nd time in school history on Tuesday with the Cougars winning for the 2nd time. As has been the theme a few times this season, Utah Valley State team gave up one big inning that made the difference. It was an eight run sixth inning by the Cougars that put the Wolverines in a hole that they couldn't climb out of. Utah Valley put up a valiant effort as they cut an eight run deficit to three, but still fell short 13-10.

The Wolverines jumped out to a 1-0 lead after two innings and then took a 2-0 lead when Canyon Vance hit his third home run of the season over the left field wall in the third. The score was deadlocked at five when the Cougars had the eight run outburst. Ryan Chambers led off sixth inning with a home run, followed by a Bryce Ayoso single and then a Sean McNaughton homer. BYU added two more home runs in the inning and picked up eight runs in the to take a 13-5 lead.

Nick Connor had three more hits, including two doubles for Utah Valley and is now batting .325 on the season. Trent Perry continues to stay hot at the plate as well, going 2-3 and scoring twice while Todd Bateman was 2-4 at the plate and pitched 1 1/3 scoreless innings.
