The first ever meeting between Utah Valley State and Washington will take place on Monday as the two teams are scheduled to play two games. The Huskies are ranked 29th by Collegiate Baseball and currently sit at 14-10 and 1-2 in the PAC-10. Monday's double header will begin at 4:00pm MST and on Tuesday the teams will play a single game beginning at 2:00pm MST.
Wolverine Update:
The Wolverines have now won three out of four after winning the first three games of a four game set with Southern Utah. Utah Valley dropped to last game against the T-Birds after picking up the three wins.
The Wolverines opened up their brand new ballpark, Parkway Crossing Stadium, on Thursday and picked up a 5-3 win. Dan Bulow homered in the game, hitting the first home run ever at the new stadium.
On Friday, Utah Valley State scored 25 runs against the T-Birds, in a 25-6 rout. Kory Drew was 4-7 with a grand slam and six RBI, while Trent Perry hit a three run homer and when 4-6 with six RBI of his own.
The two teams split a Saturday double header, with Utah Valley winning the first game 11-9 on the strength of a 10 run third inning. Dan Bulow had a grand slam in the inning, while Brad Hales hit a two run homer. Todd Bateman picked up his first win of the season on the hill, while Brett Guerrero came in to close out the game.
In the final game, Trent Perry hit his team-high 7th home run of the season and Nick Connor was 2-5 with three RBI, but the Wolverines bats went cold and SUU salvaged a game in the series by winning 12-7.

- ;After playing eight games in eight days, the Wolverines will have nearly a week off before resuming their home schedule on Monday, April 4th against in-state rival BYU at 7:00pm.
- Canyon Vance leads the Wolverines with a .416 average. Two other Utah Valley State hitters are hitting above the .400 mark as well. Kory Drew is hitting .407, while Eli Slesk is hitting .406 after starting the year injured.
- Trent Perry continues his production at the plate as well as he has heightened his average to .375 and leads the team in home runs (7) and RBI (34).
Gardner Gets 400:
Coach Steve Gardner picked up his 400th career win at Utah Valley State in Thursday-??s win over Southern Utah. The win was not only his 400th, but the first ever at Parkway Crossing Stadium. There will be another milestone this season for Coach Gardner as he is scheduled to coach in his 1000th game as a collegiate coach during the Sacramento State series. Gardner has spent the past 15 season as head coach for Utah Valley State after coaching eight seasons at Snow College in Ephraim, Utah.
Grand Opening Rescheduled:
The weekend series against SUU was the first ever at Parkway Crossing Stadium, but the Grand Opening of the park won't be until April 22-23 when Utah Valley State hosts South Dakota State. The opening was originally planned for this past weekend, but was postponed due to rain and snow throughout the week and an uncertainty of whether or not the games could be played. The grand opening of Parkway Crossing Stadium will also be Alumni Weekend. For only $15, former Wolverine baseball players are invited to spend the weekend at the new ballpark, with tickets to each game and a BBQ on the berm prior to one of the weekend games. On Deck:
The Wolverines will be off until Monday, April 4th when they host BYU. It will be the third game between the in-state rivals. The Cougars won the first two games at Larry H. Miller Field in Provo earlier in the season. The following day, the Wolverines will travel to Salt Lake City to take on the University of Utah. The two teams played six times last year, splitting the series 3-3.
