Marcus Moore (3-2, 1.73) will get the start for UV while Utah will counter with Lucas Trinnaman (0-5, 7.99).
The Wolverines (14-23) are coming off of an improbable win on Sunday at South Dakota State where they used a seven-run ninth inning to win 9-5.
Keiki Albino hit a two-run double with two outs in the ninth to tie the game before Eli Slesk gave UV the lead with a single to left.
Utah (16-19) took two out of three from San Diego State over the weekend in Salt Lake City and has won five out of six games.
The Utes have won two in a row in the series against Utah Valley and three out of four on the season. Both teams have won on their respective home fields.
Tuesday's matchup is the fifth of six contests this year between the in-state schools, with the finale coming on May 8th in Orem.
Utah Valley will host another in-state school later this week when Dixie State comes to Orem for a three-game series.
