OREM, Utah - Utah Valley baseball hosts Utah on Tuesday at 7pm on Senior Night for four Wolverines. UV will still have four home games remaining after tomorrow but they will be held as part of the Division I Independent Tournament.
Eli Slesk, Keiki Albino, Turreal Moore and Derrick Thomas will be recognized prior to the game.
The Wolverines (21-27) set a new NCAA school record for wins in a season after sweeping a doubleheader on Sunday at Northern Colorado. UV won the opener 8-6 after scoring three runs in the ninth inning. Jace Brinkerhoff drove in the tying run before Kevin Arendse smacked an 0-2 pitch to the wall in right to score two runs.
In the 9-6 win, Utah Valley jumped out to a 7-1 lead after the top of the third inning and held off a late charge by the Bears. Craig Brimhall earned a save in both of Sunday's wins.
Utah (21-25, 9-9) was swept at home by #23 TCU over the weekend, losing the final two games of the series by two runs including an extra inning game on Sunday.
The Utes hold a 3-2 lead in the series this season with both teams winning each game on its home field.
Utah Valley will have the rest of the week off before playing at BYU next Tuesday and at #9 Arizona State on Wednesday.
