OREM, Utah - Utah Valley baseball continues in-state action this Monday and Tuesday when Southern Utah comes to town for a quick two-game series.
The Wolverines (6-19-1) split a four-game series against Utah last week while the T-Birds (13-13) split their series against IPFW in Cedar City. SUU won two out of three against Utah Valley earlier in the season and holds a slight 13-12 advantage in the competitive all-time series.
Marcus Moore (3-4, 3.35) is Monday's scheduled starter for UV. Moore is coming off of a four-hit shutout against Utah last Wednesday. In two career starts against the T-Birds, Moore is 2-0 with a 1.59 ERA including a complete game win last season in which he struck out a school-record 14 batters.
In the series against the Utes, Cole Anderson hit .571 with his first home run in two starts while Scott Croshaw batted .471 and Jace Brinkerhoff hit .412.
Following the series with SUU, the Wolverines will travel to Reno for a four-game series at Nevada beginning Friday.
