The Wolverines (2-2) split four games at the 2011 Red Raider Classic at Texas Tech. UVU defeated Big 10 Northwestern, 3-0, in the opener as Blake Krahenbuhl and Josh Swenson combined on the team's first shutout since the 2008 season finale.
Utah Valley fell 3-2 to Western Michigan and then 6-2 to host Texas Tech before finishing the weekend with a 3-1 win over Western Michigan behind a two-hitter from starter Kyle Beecher and Brock Sargent.
