OREM, Utah --
After taking two of three at Portland over the weekend, Utah Valley travels to defending national champion Arizona for a two-game midweek series against the 10th-ranked Wildcats at Hi Corbett Field. All three games can be heard live on WolverineGreen.com with live video available for free via the Pac 12 website.

The Wolverines (3-4) swept a Saturday doubleheader at Portland before dropping the series finale on Sunday while Arizona (7-1) swept San Jose State in a weekend three-game set.

UVU erased a 4-0 deficit to the Pilots in the opening game, tying the game in the eighth inning before Kade Andrus' RBI double in the 10th proved to be the game-winning hit. In the second game, Adam Gunn pitched six innings with Justin Campbell and Brian Whatcott combining to toss three scoreless innings in a 3-1 win. Kai Hatch had a two-run single in the sixth inning that gave Utah Valley the lead for good.

Portland won the finale after a five-run seventh inning turned a 3-2 UVU lead into a 7-3 deficit.

Arizona came from behind twice in its series with SJSU, getting a bases-loaded triple from Brandon Dixon in the ninth inning to win the opener.

It will be the second straight season that Utah Valley and Arizona will meet at Hi Corbett Field. Last season, the then-No. 8 Wildcats got a 12-6 win on Feb. 21, 2012 in Tucson. The Wolverines returned the favor on April 2 of last season in Orem, edging Arizona (then ranked No. 4) 5-4 in UVU's first-ever home game against a ranked opponent at home.

That was the sixth straight win in the streak of 32 straight for Utah Valley while Arizona went on to capture the College World Series title in Omaha.

The Wildcats are 15-1 all-time against Utah Valley, including 15-0 at home.

UVU will head straight to Sacramento for a series this weekend against future WAC foe and last season's tri-champion in the WAC, Sacramento State. That series is slated for start times of 3 p.m. MT on Friday, 2 p.m. MT on Saturday and 1 p.m. MT on Sunday.
