OREM, Utah -- Utah Valley begins a busy week with a two-game midweek series at Texas Tech on Tuesday and Wednesday. First pitch for both games is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT. Following the two in Lubbock, Texas, UVU travels to the Bay Area for a three-game series this weekend at St. Mary's in Moraga, Calif. All five games this week can be heard live on WolverineGreen.com.

The Wolverines (7-8) took two out of three from Nevada in the home-opening series last week at Brent Brown Ballpark. UVU came from behind in both wins including a 17-6 victory in the opener.

In the middle game, Stone Ramsey's RBI single in the eighth inning brought home the winning run in a 6-5 win before the Wolf Pack salvaged the series finale with a 10-3 win.

Texas Tech had a 3-2 week, winning two of three at home against Texas-Arlington following a two-game series in Tucson. Like Utah Valley did the week prior, the Red Raiders (10-7) split two games at national champion Arizona in a midweek series. Following the two games against Utah Valley, Texas Tech will travel to Austin to face in-state rival Texas in its Big 12-opening series.

Texas Tech has won the only prior game between the two programs, winning 6-2 on the second day of the 2011 season at the Red Raider Classic. UVU went 2-2 at the classic with wins over Northwestern and Western Michigan. The Wolverines are 1-4 all-time against Big 12 schools (1-3 at Oklahoma State).

St. Mary's is wrapping up a four-game series with Utah on Monday and hosts Sacramento State on Tuesday before series with the Wolverines. UVU and St. Mary's split two games last season in Moraga.

Following the week-long road trip, UVU returns to Utah and will play a single game next Tuesday at the University of Utah at Spring Mobile Park.
