OMAHA, Neb. -- Utah Valley University will play four games at Creighton this weekend at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha, site of the College World Series. The weekend schedule begins Friday at 6:30 p.m. CT/5:30 p.m. MT and includes a doubleheader on Saturday starting at 1 p.m. CT.

The Wolverines (3-12) dropped a midweek contest to in-state rival BYU, 10-7, on Tuesday at Brent Brown Ballpark. The Cougars led 3-2 heading into the eighth inning but scored six runs in the top of the inning to build a 9-2 lead. The Wolverines responded with five in the bottom of the eighth two get within a pair of runs, but would get no closer. Jordan Schlehuber had two hits and a pair of RBIs while Greyson Bogden drove in two runs on an eighth-inning double for UVU.

Utah Valley and Creighton (6-6) are meeting for the first time in program history. The Bluejays are just second team from the Big East Conference that Utah Valley has faced. The Wolverines played St. John's in 2009, dropping both games at home in Orem.

Creighton split a two-game midweek series at Kansas State on Tuesday and Wednesday, winning the second game 6-3. The Bluejays opened their home schedule last weekend against Minnesota, dropping both games including the opener in 12 innings. They opened the season at UVU's WAC foe, CSU Bakersfield and swept a three-game series against the Roadrunners.

This weekend in Omaha marks the final non-conference weekend series of the year for Utah Valley. The Wolverines play at Utah next Tuesday at Smith's Ballpark in Salt Lake City before opening WAC play on Friday, March 20 at Seattle University.
