ABOUT THE COUGARS
Chicago State is coming off of a narrow 5-3 defeat at Missouri on Wednesday. Three players had multi-hit efforts including Matt Cox, who on Thursday was added to the Johnny Bench Award watch list, joining UVU's Drew Sims, who was on the initial list.

The Cougars are 5-28 overall and still seeking their first win in WAC play at 0-12 overall. CSU was swept at New Mexico State last weekend and all four of their WAC series so far have come against the current top four teams in the league standings.
