- Utah Valley University hits the road in WAC action and will play 10 of its next 11 games on the road including six straight conference games.

- The Wolverines travel to the Windy City to face Chicago State beginning Friday at 3 p.m. CT/2 p.m. MT. Saturday's middle game is also slated to start at 2 p.m. MT with Sunday's finale at 11 a.m. MT from Cougar Stadium.

- The Wolverines are currently 4-8 in WAC play and tied with Northern Colorado for eighth place. UVU holds the tiebreaker should the two finish in a two-way tie having won the season series against the Bears. The top six teams qualify for the 2018 WAC Tournament in Mesa, Arizona in May.

- Utah Valley is looking to snap a seven-game skid including six straight losses in WAC play. The Wolverines were swept by CSU Bakersfield at UCCU Ballpark last weekend.

- Tuesday's schedule game against Utah was postponed due to weather and will be made up on Tuesday, May 15 in what will be the final home game of the 2018 season.

- The Wolverines have their bye in WAC play next weekend and will play a four-game series at Saint Mary's in Moraga, California. The teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday, April 28. Following the series UVU hosts Arizona on Monday, April 30.Â

ABOUT THE COUGARS
Chicago State is coming off of a narrow 5-3 defeat at Missouri on Wednesday. Three players had multi-hit efforts including Matt Cox, who on Thursday was added to the Johnny Bench Award watch list, joining UVU's
Drew Sims, who was on the initial list.
The Cougars are 5-28 overall and still seeking their first win in WAC play at 0-12 overall. CSU was swept at New Mexico State last weekend and all four of their WAC series so far have come against the current top four teams in the league standings.Â
