OREM, Utah – Utah Valley University baseball's 2022 home opener that was scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 22 at UCCU Ballpark has been postponed due to inclement weather.
 
The contest would have marked the earliest home game in the program's NCAA Division I history. Instead, it has been rescheduled for Wednesday, April 27 at 6:05 p.m. at UCCU Ballpark. UVU will also face the Utes this season on March 29 at Smith's Ballpark in Salt Lake City and April 5 at UCCU Ballpark in Orem. 
 
The Wolverines are off to a 1-3 start on the young season after taking one of four on opening weekend (Feb. 18-20) at Texas State. UVU will next head to the Bay Area for a four-game non-conference series at San Francisco this weekend (Feb. 25-27). Utah Valley's 2022 home opener is now scheduled for March 11 when it welcomes defending WAC champion California Baptist to town for a three-game league series.
