STOCKTON, Calif.—
Dane Huddleston carded a final-round 5-under-par 67 to lead Utah Valley with a 10th place finish at the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational at The Reserve at Spanos Park with a three-round score of 10-under-par 206 (70-69-67).
As a team, Utah Valley shot a final-round 10-under-par 278 to finish in a tie for sixth on the 17-team leaderboard with a three-round 17-under-par 847 (283-286-278). Utah Valley finished ahead of 10 other teams, including WAC teams California Baptist (-9), Seattle U (-4), and Utah Tech (+27).
"It was a solid week for our guys," said Utah Valley head coach
Chris Curran. "This is a better representation of what this team is capable of. Dane played very disciplined golf in this event. He made 17 birdies which was a huge reason he was so successful. I like the way we are trending."
Huddleston had a flawless final round with five birdies, including four on the front nine for his 5-under-par 67. Huddleston finished 10th on the 99-player leaderboard with a 10-under-par 206 (70-69-67).
Kai Iguchi shot a final-round 2-under-par 70 on Wednesday to finish in a tie for 15th with a three-round total of 6-under-par 210. Iguchi had four birdies in his final round with three on the back nine.
Ryan Seamons carded a 2-under-par 70 on Tuesday to finish tied for 46th with a three-round 1-over0par 217 (71-76-70). Seamons tallied four birdies in his final round, including three on a flawless back nine.
Ethan Efford shot a final-round 1-under-par 71 to finish in a tie for 57th with a three-round score of 4-over-par 220 (77-72-71). Efford had four birdies on the day.
Zachary Erskine rounded out the UVU scoring with a 3-over-par 75 on Tuesday to finish in a tie for 67th with a three-round 6-over-par 222 (72-75-75).
Utah Valley will wrap up its fall schedule at the Kapolei Invitational, Oct. 31-Nov. 2, at Kapolei Golf Course on the island of O'ahu in Hawaii.
