OREM, Utah — Utah Valley University will send student-athletes to Weber State and Washington this week as the indoor track & field season inches closer to the conference championships in late February. Most of the team will see action at the Wildcat Invitational on Thursday and Friday in Ogden while a group of distance runners will compete at the Husky Classic on Friday in Seattle.
 
The action begins Thursday at Stromberg Arena in Ogden with the jumps. The men's pole vault and women's long jump are set for 3:30 p.m. starts. Friday concludes with the men's high jump at 7 p.m.
 
Friday's slate of events is scheduled for a 10 a.m. start, with the throws being held in Marquardt Fieldhouse and the preliminaries of the 55-meter hurdles taking place in Stromberg Arena.
 
This week will be the final tune-up for Utah Valley before the WAC Indoor Championships on Feb. 24-25 at the Podium in Spokane, Washington.
