OREM, Utah - The Utah Valley University baseball team will open its home schedule after playing the first 13 games on the road. UVU has become road warriors after playing road series at UC Davis, UC Riverside, Portland, and a single game at Northwest Nazarene.
The five-game opening homestand begins on Mar. 10-12 with four games against Lehigh, beginning on Mar. 10 at 2:05 p.m. MT. The two teams will meet for a doubleheader on Mar. 11 at 12:05 p.m. MT before wrapping up the series on Mar. 12 with a 12:05 start. The single game against Northwest Nazarene will start at 4:05 p.m. MT. All games will air on ESPN+, and live stats will be available on UVUstats.com.
The Wolverines went 3-2 last week, splitting a four-game series with Portland in the Rose City. UVU won the first and third games, and UP won the second and fourth to set up the split. Utah Valley ended the road trip on a positive note with a 4-3 victory against Northwest Nazarene.
Utah Valley is currently 8-5 heading into the final weekend of non-conference play. The Wolverines are looking for their second series win of the year. They have split two other four-game series with UC Davis and Portland. The last time that UVU swept a four-game series was at Chicago State in 2013.
CAMPER NAMED TO THE BUSTER POSEY WATCH LIST

Burke Camper was named to the 2023 Buster Posey Watch List for the second time. He was nominated at Towson in 2021. On the year, he has seen limited action this season, going 2-for-7 while he works back from an injury.
LOWERING THE ERA
The UVU pitching staff has significantly lowered the ERA through the first 13 games of the season. The team has a 4.08 ERA, compared to a 7.22 ERA last year. On the year, UVU has thrown two team shutouts and held the opposition under two or less runs six times. Seven pitchers this season hold an ERA of below 3.00 entering this weekend.
SCOUTING THE MOUNTAIN HAWKS
Lehigh University is in Bethlehem, Pa., located on the eastern side of Pennsylvania. They play in the Patriot League and are currently 7-4 after beating Coppin State on Wednesday. Andrew Kohl leads Lehigh, hitting .465 on the season, and the lineup features a team batting average of .297. Saturday starter Luke Rettig leads the staff at 2-0 on the year in 11 innings pitched and holds a 2.38 ERA.
SCOUTING THE NIGHTHAWKS
The Nighthawks are 9-13 on the season and host MSU-Billings this weekend before visiting Orem. UVU pulled out a 4-3 victory in Nampa. Mason Leavitt and Seattle U transfer Shane Jamison lead NNU. The pitching staff holds an under 5.00 team ERA this season.
ON DECK
Utah Valley heads to Seattle U next weekend for a three-game series against the Redhawks at Bannerwood Ballpark in Bellevue. The series marks the first of 30 games in WAC play that will count towards qualification into the WAC Tournament in May.
