FORT WORTH, Texas – Utah Valley sophomore infielder Daniel Dickinson added to his Preseason awards this week as he was named to the Bobby Bragan National Collegiate Slugger Watch List.

The Bobby Bragan Youth Foundation created the award and was open to nominations from all Division I baseball programs. The award considers on-field stats, academics, and a statement on personal integrity.

This marks the first time that Dickinson has made the Watch List, and it is his first Preseason Watch List recognition. During his freshman campaign, the 2024 Preseason WAC Co-Player of the Year hit .376 overall in 54 games. He added nine homers, 42 RBIs, 82 hits, and 19 doubles that broke several UVU freshman records. In WAC games, he hit at a .410 clip with seven home runs; three of the seven came in one game last May against Stephen F. Austin at UCCU Ballpark.

The Watch List has 52 student-athletes from 21 conferences across the country. The award was initially offered to hitters in Arkansas, Louisana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. They have since extended eligibility to be a national award. The Bobby Bragan Youth Foundation encourages students to stay in school by promising scholarships to eighth-grade students. The organization was started by former Big Leaguer, manager, and coach Bobby Bragan.
