OREM, Utah – Utah Valley baseball hits the road for a two-game midweek series in the desert against Arizona State (9-10, 3-3). The trip marks the first time the two teams have met since the Wolverines traveled to Tempe in 2012. The series starts on Tuesday, Mar. 19 at 7:30 p.m. MT and will wrap up on Wednesday, Mar. 20 at 2:00 p.m. MT.

ABOUT THE SUN DEVILS
Arizona State enters the series at a 9-10 clip with a 3-3 record in Pac-12 play. They dropped two out of three last weekend to in-state rival Arizona. The Sun Devils are guided by former big leaguer Willie Bloomquist, who is in his third season as the skipper. ASU is hitting .287 as a team, with Ryan Campos leading them with six homers this year. They have four players hitting over .300 so far this season.
SERIES HISTORY
The Wolverines and Sun Devils are 2-2 all-time against each other and split the last series back in 2012. UVU picked up a 9-6 win in the series' final game and was led by Jordy Hart, who finished 3-for-4 with 5 RBI. His first-inning home run put Utah Valley up 3-0. Josh Swenson came in and pitched the final 4.2 innings, allowing a pair of hits and struck out two.
LAST TIME OUT
Utah Valley opened its WAC home schedule with a sweep of Stephen F. Austin. They outscored the Lumberjacks 30-8 and won two games that were called by the ten-run rule. UVU hit .366 in the series and clubbed 12 homers on the weekend as a team.
Nate Bach hit four home runs, including two inside-the-park home runs. Senior third baseman
Garrett Broussard had three homers as he nears his 200
th game in UVU green.
Braden Boisvert had his best outing since arriving in Orem, where he tossed 6.0 innings and struck out nine Lumberjacks on Mar. 15.
Mitch Mueller added a solid 4.0 innings while earning his first save of the season on Mar. 16.

Utah Valley set a program record this past weekend with 12 homers in a series. They broke the previous record set by the 2009 team when visiting Air Force, where the Wolverines smacked 11. In addition to Bach and Broussard,

The Wolverines have hit five inside-the-park home runs since 2004: Nick Connor (2006), Mark Krueger (2014), Iverson (2023), and Bach (2024) twice. During that period, Bach is the only person to do it twice in one series.
