SCOUTING UTRGV
The Vaqueros enter the series with a 16-13 record and 6-6 in the WAC. Catcher Steven Lanica leads the WAC with a .414 batting average, and they are second in the WAC as a team with a .289 batting average. On the mound, the starting rotation has been tough on opponents, with all three having ERAs under 4.00.

LAST TIME OUT
The Wolverines are coming off a record-setting day, scoring 22 runs against Northwest Nazarene. Matthew Schwarz finished 3-for-5 with two triples, a grand slam, and a program-record seven RBIs. UVU broke the program record for the most home runs at the dish, with seven in the game.

THE GREAT HOME RUN CHASE OF 2024
Utah Valley has hit 72 home runs as a team this year and only needs eight to set a new program record set by the 2010 team. The Wolverines are currently in the top five, coming up at No. 4 and only trail Georgia, Tennessee, and Austin Peay. The Wolverines have hit the most home runs in the conference, with Grand Canyon trailing them by 30.

Individually, a trio of UVU hitters are chasing the single-season record set by Goose Kallunki in 2012, when he smacked 18. Daniel Dickinson currently leads the team with 13, with Burke Camper and Nate Bach each with 12.

GETTING ON BASE
UVU leads the WAC in several offensive categories, including runs, scoring, and stolen bases this season. The catalyst has been on-base percentage, which UVU holds a .396 team OBP heading into this weekend. Camper is leading UVU this season with a .461 on-base percentage. Closely behind all, with an OPB of over .400, are Dickinson, Calyn Halvorson, and Jayden Smith
