OREM, Utah – Utah Valley baseball continues their five-game homestand against Utah Tech as they renew the Old Hammer Rivalry beginning Thursday, Apr. 4 at 6:05 p.m. MT at UCCU Ballpark. The series continues Friday, Apr. 5 at 2:05 p.m. MT and will wrap up on Saturday at 12:05 p.m. MT. The schedule was changed due to predicted weather in the Orem area.

LAST TIME OUT
The Wolverines will look to get back on track after a pair of losses to Utah this week. The two teams played to a 10-1 Utah win on Monday before the Utes picked up a 13-8 victory in Orem on Tuesday.
ABOUT THE TRAILBLAZERS
Utah Tech enters the series with an 8-19 overall record and a 6-6 record in WAC play. They are led offensively by Hunter Katschke who is hitting .348 with seven homers on the year and is among the WAC leaders in batting average. The Trailblazers won last year's WAC series in Saint George, but the Wolverines have won the only conference series between the two in-state foes in Orem since both joined the WAC.
ROUND TRIPPING
The Wolverines are eighth nationally in home runs with 59 this season. The program record stands at 79, which was set back in 2010. Similar to the 2010 team that had Chris Benson, Jace Brinkerhoff, and Goose Kallunki all reach ten or more home runs,

Garrett Broussard has played in 197 games entering this weekend. If he plays in all three games of the series, he will become the tenth player in program history to play in 200 career games. He is currently ranked 11
th all-time in at-bats with 683 and is tied with Canyon Vance for 14
th all-time in hits with 173.
Nick Sims made his 62
nd career appearance on Apr. 2 against Utah. He is now tenth all-time in appearances for a pitcher. The appearance moved him past 2016 UVU graduate Danny Beddes, who made 61 appearances before being drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates.
ON DECK
The Wolverines wrap up the homestand on Tuesday, Apr. 9, with a 4:05 p.m. MT start against Northwest Nazarene. Next weekend, they will travel to UT Rio Grande Valley for a three-game series in Edinburg beginning on Friday, Apr. 12.
