CARY N.C – Daniel Dickinson was invited to the 2024 USA Baseball National Collegiate Team Training Camp set to be held in Cary. The camp will feature the top non-draft-eligible college players in the country. He is the first player in program history to be invited to the camp.
 
"This is the highest honor a college baseball player can receive. To represent the greatest country in the history of the world while playing the greatest game on earth is such a deserved recognition for Daniel. It speaks to the impact he has made on our program and all of college baseball," said UVU head coach Eddie Smith.
 
The training camp will feature 56 players who will be divided up for two games to be played at the USA Baseball National Training Complex called the Stars vs. Stripes coming up on June 26 and 27.
 
Players will then be offered spots to play on the International Friendly roster in a five-game series against Chinese Taipei from June 29 to July 3. Jose Vazquez will manage the CNT this summer. He is the current head coach at Alabama State.
 
A second group of players will be selected for the Summer League Tour, which will consist of four games against teams from the Coastal Plain League and the Appalachian League. USA Baseball announced that Gary Gilmore, who recently retired from coaching at Coastal Carolina University, will lead the team.
 
USA Baseball's summer collegiate schedule concludes on July 4 with a game between the Summer League Tour and International Series teams.
