Baseball America names Dickinson to All-American Team

OREM, Utah – Utah Valley sophomore Daniel Dickinson added to his award accolades on Friday morning when he was named to Baseball America's Third Team All-American and was the only WAC player to earn the honor.

"Baseball America is a historic publication, and it is amazing to have Daniel receive this recognition. It is one more statement to his ability and performance," said UVU head coach Eddie Smith.

It's the second time this season he has been named an All-American after earlier this month by Perfect Game. In his career at Utah Valley, it's the third time in his career that he has earned the designation of All-American after being named to Collegiate Baseball's Freshman All-American in 2023.

Dickinson finished 2024, leading UVU in batting average (.367), slugging percentage (.661), and hits (90). The UVU middle infielder had an impressive stretch of 17 hits over seven games from Apr. 2-13 while helping the Wolverines to six wins in the eight-game span.

The two-time WAC first-teamer finished the season with 31 multi-hit games, including having three hits in a game seven times during the 2024 campaign. His 2024 honors include Baseball America and Perfect Game All-American, First Team All-WAC, and Preseason WAC Player of the Year. He was named a semifinalist for the Dick Howser Award and was named to the watchlist of the Bobby Bragan Collegiate Slugger Award.

Dickinson is spending his summer in the prestigious Cape Cod League and is playing for the Harwich Mariners. He will head to Cary, N.C. next week for training camp with the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team.
