OREM, Utah – Utah Valley baseball returns home for a four-game home stand that begins with Abilene Christian on Friday, Mar. 28, at 6:05 p.m. MT. The series will be the first visit to Orem by the Wildcats. UVU will host Colorado Mesa on Tuesday, Apr. 1, to close the home stretch.

LAST TIME OUT
The Wolverines went 3-1 last weekend in the Pacific Northwest after winning the WAC opening series in Seattle. They traveled south down I-5 and defeated Portland on Monday. Utah Valley's offensive continued to stay hot, hitting .357 during the four games, led by
Dominic Longo II,
Jayden Smith, and
Landon Frei, who all hit .400 in the series.
Nate Bach had his first multi-run game of the season and now has 21 during his stay in Orem.
Luke Iverson and
Jimmy De Anda both added two home runs to help the Wolverines' offense.
Landon Zaborowski's four innings with a career-high nine strikeouts helped lead a UVU comeback. Friday night starter
Corbin Kirk tossed four innings of his own against the Redhawks and only allowed three hits.
Colton Kennedy pitched in the continuation of Friday's game on Saturday. He finished with three innings and four strikeouts to earn his first win of the season.
ABOUT THE WILDCATS
Abilene Christian enters the series in Orem with a 16-9 and 1-2 record in the WAC. They are coming off a series loss to Grand Canyon in Abilene but bounced back with an impressive win over No. 17 Dallas Baptist. The starting rotation is led by Friday night starter Dominick Reid, who transferred from Oklahoma State. WAC Preseason Pitcher of the Year Brett Lanman will go on Saturday, and the weekend closes with Texas Tech transfer Cade McGarhh.
ALL-TIME AGAINST ACU
Abilene Christian holds an all-time series lead of 7-1, with seven of the eight meetings taking place in Abilene. The two teams met another time, last May, in Mesa at the WAC Tournament.
ALL-TIME AGAINST THE MAVERICKS
Colorado Mesa is currently 18-8 and 11-1 in the RMAC. The Mavericks play in the NCAA Division II and have a few local players from the Wasatch Front on their roster, with Jett Walker (American Fork), Preston Winget (Draper), Jordan Pace (Pleasant Grove), Cayden Clark (Tooele), and Max Berni (South Jordan).
They are hitting .333 as a team this season, with Christos Stefanos leading them with a .422 average. Kolby Felix has hit eight home runs on the year to lead the team.
ALL-TIME AGAINST THE MAVERICKS
This will be the first regular-season meeting between the two since the 2004 season when the Mavericks swept UVU in a four-game series.
