LAST TIME OUT
Utah Valley went 4-0 at last week's University Credit Union WAC Baseball Tournament, winning its second WAC title and earning a spot in this year's NCAA Tournament. Mason Strong was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player after hitting .550, including a game-winning home run in the championship game.
Dominic Longo II hit a walk-off homer against UT Arlington, while CJ Colyer powered UVU past Abilene Christian with a three-run homer in the ninth inning. Corbin Kirk struck out a career-high 13 batters to help the Wolverines reach the semifinals. Colton Kennedy and Cooper Littledike combined for the program's first NCAA-level no-hitter to send UVU to the finals.

SCOUTING THE DUCKS
Oregon enters the Eugene Regional with a 42-14 overall record and a 22-8 mark in the Big Ten. The Ducks are led by Mason Neville, who tops the NCAA with 26 home runs. Jacob Walsh has added 19 home runs and is hitting .336. Oregon's pitching staff owns a 3.97 ERA, with Friday starter Grayson Grinsell posting a 9-3 record and a 2.62 ERA. PK Park is expected to be at full capacity and will provide one of the premier atmospheres in college baseball.

SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
Arizona finished the season 39-18 overall and 18-12 in the Big 12. The Wildcats are 24-6 at Hi Corbett Field, but just 10-8 on the road and 5-4 at neutral sites. They won the Big 12 Tournament last week in Arlington. Mason White leads the offense with a .330 average, 16 home runs and a team-high 66 RBIs. Arizona's pitching staff has a 4.73 ERA. Closer Tony Pluta has recorded 12 saves, holding opponents to a .181 batting average.

SCOUTING THE MUSTANGS
Cal Poly captured its first Big West title since 2014 last week and enters the tournament 41-17 overall, including a 23-7 record in conference play. After losing to top-seeded UC Irvine, the Mustangs bounced back with two straight wins to claim the title. Cal Poly hits .319 as a team and ranks closely with Utah Valley in several national offensive categories. Zach Daudet, Ryan Fenn, Nate Castellon and Alejandro Garza each hit at least .359 and have played in 48 or more games. Griffin Naess leads the pitching staff with a 7-2 record and 3.38 ERA in 88 innings.

ALL-TIME VS. EUGENE REGIONAL
Utah Valley is 0-1 all-time against Oregon and 0-4 against Cal Poly. The Wolverines are 3-19 against Arizona but recorded a landmark win over the No. 4 Wildcats in 2012 in Orem.
