PRESEASON AWARDS & POLLS
Utah Valley was picked second in the WAC by the fellow coaches and earned one of the four teams that received first-place votes. It's the second time in three years that the program has been selected second and is the highest in the program's WAC tenure.

UVU was well represented across the board in preseason accolades with Mason Strong (D1 Baseball) and Luke Iverson (Perfect Game) each earned Preseason Player of the Year honors with several others showing up on top draft prospect lists with Landon Zaborowski (No. 3), Strong (No.10), Quinn Holt (No. 12), Colton Kennedy (No. 17), and Kaden Carpenter (No. 22) by D1Baseball.com.

Perfect Game had Zaborowski at No. 3, and he was joined by Trenton Rowan (No. 5) and Jacob Heppner (No. 6). Freshman Josh Mawhinney was named the top prospect for the class of 2028 from the WAC.

SCOUTING THE TIGERS
Pacific finished 20-36 in 2025 and went 8-16 in WCC play to finish seventh in the conference. The Tigers won 20 games for the first time since the 2019 season last season under first-year head coach Reed Peters. The transfer portal brought some new faces to Stockton.

Returner infielder, Jake Tandy, played in 52 games last season and hit .304 with five homers and 26 RBI. Davis Diego played 47 games behind the plate for the Tigers last season.

On the mound, they added a lot of new arms this season, but Adan Perez returns and will throw on Sunday against the Wolverines after making 13 starts last season.

UP NEXT
Utah Valley will continue its road trip next week with a four-game series at the University of Nevada. The series will run Thursday-Sunday in Reno. UVU will then return home for the home opening weekend on Feb. 28-Mar 1 against UC Riverside.
