OREM, Utah – Utah Valley baseball hits the road this weekend for its first-ever game against an ACC foe when it visits Stanford for a four-game series beginning Saturday, March 21, at 3:05 p.m. MT. The two teams will play a doubleheader Sunday beginning at 2:05 p.m. MT before the series wraps up Monday with a 1:05 p.m. MT start.
This will be UVU's first game all-time against an ACC opponent. The Wolverines have previously played California, but the Bears were not in the ACC at the time. The stretch will feature six consecutive games against Power 4 competition, with four of the last coming away from UCCU Ballpark.

UVU LAST TIME OUT
The Wolverines played two games against Cincinnati earlier this week, with the Bearcats winning both at UCCU Ballpark.

Hunter Katschke continues to swing a hot bat, with five of his seven home runs coming in the last 10 games.

Colton Kennedy gets the ball this weekend, coming off a season-high eight-strikeout performance against Cincinnati. He was one shy of his career high of nine, set against Sacramento State last season in the WAC Tournament. He has recorded six or more strikeouts in four of his five starts this season.
SCOUTING THE CARDINAL
Stanford enters this weekend's series on a bye in ACC play. The Cardinal are 7-12 overall and 1-5 in conference action and lost their series to Pittsburgh last weekend after being swept by Wake Forest. Stanford has hit 33 home runs this season, with multiple players in the lineup recording four or more. The Cardinal have struggled more on the mound and enter the weekend with a team ERA of 6.62. They have recorded 181 strikeouts this season, with Nick Dugan reaching 25 in 24 2/3 innings and Aidan Keenan adding 20 in 18 2/3 innings.
