ABILENE, Texas—Chloe Jang carded a 1-over-par 71 in Tuesday's final round of the West Texas Classic to lead Utah Valley and finish alone in second place on the 88-player leaderboard with a three-round score of 2-over-par 212 (77-64-71) at Abilene Country Club.

Jang's final round featured two birdies and 13 pars as she secured the highest finish of her three-year collegiate career. The runner-up finish also marks her third top-five finish of the season.

Maria Ortiz shot a 5-over-par 75 in Tuesday's final round to climb 12 spots on the leaderboard and finish tied for 40th with a three-round 18-over-par 228 (75-78-75).

Valentina Zuleta carded an 11-over-par 81 in the final round to finish tied for 53rd at 23-over-par 233 (77-75-81). Rylie Rodriguez shot a 12-over-par 82 on Tuesday to finish tied for 57th at 24-over-par 234 (75-77-82), while Mia Pace posted a 10-over-par 80 in the final round to also finish tied for 57th at 24-over-par 234 (77-77-80).

As a team, Utah Valley recorded a final-round 27-over-par 307 to finish seventh on the 10-team leaderboard with a three-round total of 64-over-par 904 (304-293-307).

"Really proud of our resilience today. The wind was tough, but we were able to gain two spots on the leaderboard," said Utah Valley head coach Juli Erekson. "Chloe was solid and played very well through the wind to secure second place. It was a great tune-up before we head to St. George this weekend. We definitely know what we need to work on to put ourselves in position to win."

Utah Valley will continue spring play at the Pizza Hut Lady Thunderbird Invitational, set for March 6–8 at Sunbrook Golf Club in St. George, Utah.
