JUNIOR ~ (2011-12): Did not compete. 

SOPHOMORE ~ (2010-11): 2-10 overall record (1-6 duals) ... picked up his dual victory at SDSU against Nick Flynn on Feb. 18 as he defeated him by decision 11-6 ... also had a win over Mesa State's Jon Gappmaier at the UVU Open on Jan. 8 as he pinned him in 59 seconds. 

FRESHMAN ~ (2009-10): 9-10 overall record (0-3 duals) ... placed third at the Northwest College Open in Powell, Wyo. as he went 5-1 at the opening season tourney ... went 2-2 at both the Cowboy Open in Laramie, Wyo. and the NC State Wolfpack Open in Raleigh, N.C. ... won three of his matches by fall on the year. 

REDSHIRT ~ (2006-07): Redshirted the 06-07 season ... tore his LCL while competing unattached at the first tournament of the season. 

Before Utah Valley: 
Wrestled at Viewmont High School helping the Vikings to three consecutive Utah State Championships ... is a two-time individual state champion ... finished 34-4 during senior season ... named Most Outstanding Wrestler at 2006 State Tournament ... also played golf and ran cross country at Viewmont. 

Personal: 
Born June 23, 1988 in Salt Lake City, Utah ... son of Gary and Gina Winger ... is an Eagle Scout ... graduated from Viewmont High School in 2006 with a 3.6 GPA ... served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to Malaga, Spain ... enjoys 80[apos]s dancing, longboarding and drinking Mate ... chose Utah Valley because of the upcoming program and good coaches ... also recruited by Western Wyoming ... married current UVU cross country and track distance runner Aleina Eisenhauer in the summer of 2010.
