SOPHOMORE ~ (2011-12): 4-4 overall record (0-1 duals) ... placed second at the Northwest College Open on Nov. 5 to open the season by going 3-1 at the tournament ... went 1-2 at the Midlands Championships on Dec. 29-30 ... posted one win by fall, one by decision and two by major decision. 

FRESHMAN ~ (2010-11): Did not compete. 

Before Utah Valley ...
Prepped at Oak Ridge High School ... was a two-time high school All-American ... California State Finalist in 2008 where he placed second, finished fourth in State in 2007 ... a four-year letter winner in wrestling at Oak Ridge ... attended the National High School Coaches' Association Freshman Nationals and placed fifth, earning All-American status ... returned to the NHSCA Junior Nationals in Virginia and placed third in the Nation to receive his second career All-American honor in 2008 ... served as varsity team captain for three years and was a two-time Athlete of the Year honoree at Oak Ridge ... finished 7th at the Walsh Iron Man Tournament in Ohio in 2008 earning All-American status again ... California State Champion in 2006, placed Second in Calif. Freestyle State in 2006, and Third in 2007 ... overall high school record was 182-23.

Attended the University of California Davis in 2009-10 and redshirted for the wrestling team ... won the starting spot at 141 but still redshirted ... had the 6th most wins on the team as a redshirt.

Graduated from Oak Ridge HS in 2009 with a 3.3 GPA ... leader in the Rolling Hills Christian Church youth group, went to Mexico in 2009 for a mission trip and built houses for the homeless over spring break ... majoring in Business as UVU ... also recruited by Northwestern, Nebraska, Cal Poly, Columbia, Cornell, Maryland, Stanford, Penn, Michigan, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Hofstra and Virginia Tech ... son of Benjamin and Bille West.
