OREM, Utah - After splitting its first six home games, Utah Valley travels to Gonzaga this weekend for a four-game series beginning on Friday afternoon.
The Wolverines (5-7) split their first six home games, winning three of four from Northern Colorado before two straight losses to St. John's.
Utah Valley will send Brock Sargent to the mound in the opener. Kole Mickolio, Devin Nelson and Justin Smith are scheduled to start the rest of the series. Gonzaga is scheduled to go with a rotation Matt Fields, Cody Martin, Ryan Carpenter and Steven Ames.
Jace Brinkerhoff leads the team with a .469 batting average while Jake Rickenbach has driven in a team-high 12 runs.
UVU is 3-9 all-time against Gonzaga (7-5). The Bulldogs won two out of three during the 2008 season in Spokane.
Utah Valley will now play its next 14 games away from Brent Brown Ballpark including a series at Oregon State and Nevada and mid-week road games at BYU and Utah. The Wolverines return home for consecutive doubleheaders against Air Force on April 3-4.
