OREM, Utah - Coming off of a loss on Tuesday against BYU, Utah Valley travels to Nevada for a four-game series beginning Friday at 7 p.m. MT. The teams will play a Saturday doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m. MT before Sunday's finale, also at 2 p.m. MT.
The Wolverines (6-15) have lost 10 of their last 11 games on the year after starting 5-5. Nine of the 11 games have been played away from Brent Brown Ballpark.
Jace Brinkerhoff is hitting .393 with nine doubles, a home run and 12 RBI. Jory Jensen has a team-best 3.70 ERA in 24.1 innings of work over nine appearances, all in relief.
UVU has lost nine in a row to Nevada after winning the first meeting between the schools. In the Wolverines' lone win during the series, current Baltimore Orioles pitcher Kam Mickolio, the brother of UVU pitcher Kole Mickolio, threw a 5-0 shutout.
Kole will start the opener with Devin Nelson, Justin Smith and Brock Sargent the other scheduled starters for Utah Valley.
