A full field of 17 teams will take part in the Coeur d'Alene Collegiate Invite, as players from UVU and the host Gonzaga Bulldogs will participate, as well as Creighton, Florida International, Hawai'i, Idaho, Long Beach State, Nevada, North Dakota State, Oral Roberts, Portland State, Sacramento State, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Seattle U, UC Irvine and Wyoming.

The Wolverines last took part in the Coeur d'Alene Collegiate Invite in 2019 and posted a 16th-place finish. UVU carded rounds of 304, 301 and 318 to record a 923 at the event in September of 2019. Former Wolverine Kaylee Shimizu led the way by tying for 24th with a 10-over-par 223 (72-75-76), while then first-year freshman Victoria Estrada followed by tying for 49th with a 15-over 228 (82-76-70), which included carding a 1-under-par 70 during the tournament's final round.

Earlier this week at the season-opening Hobble Creek Fall Classic, UVU posted a 10th-place finish out of 17 teams at the home event with a 919 (299-305-315). Sophomore Lauren Taylor paced the Wolverines by placing 13th with a 7-over-par 220. After opening with a 75 on Monday morning, Taylor responded with rounds of 73 and 72 over the final two rounds to record the top-15 finish. Senior Bailey Henley was next for UVU by tying for 26th with a 13-over 226 (71-76-79), while true freshman Leighton Shosted tied for 38th with a 17-over 230 (75-75-80).

Taylor, Henley, Shosted, Estrada and Macy Robertson Murphy will all play for the Wolverines this weekend at the Coeur d'Alene Collegiate Invite.

ABOUT THE COURSE
Designer Scott Miller's vision was a golf course offering a stimulating round of golf, immersing players in a pristine park-like environment. The result is fairways, playing from tee to green on a lush carpet of bentgrass, accented with beds of brilliant red geraniums, acres of junipers and alpine water challenges of Lake Coeur d'Alene and Fernan Creek. The course boasts views of the lake from nearly every hole and is designed around four distinct geographic features: an expansive lakeshore, a forested ridge, gently rolling woodlands and Fernan Creek. UP NEXT FOR UVU
The Wolverines will next return to the Pacific Northwest to take part at Seattle U's Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational on Oct. 11-12 at Tacoma Country & Golf Club in Lakeview, Wash.
