The Wolverines have lost four in a row and were swept in Seattle against the University of Washington on March 28-29. Utah Valley State had chances to win in two of the three games but came up short.
In the series opener, Kam Mickolio pitched an excellent game, going seven innings and giving up three runs (one earned) on four hits. In the second game, the Huskies put up seven runs in the fifth inning to run away with an 11-1 win. The third and final game looked like a repeat of the first until Dan Bulow hit a three-run homer to left center to give Utah Valley a 5-4 lead in the 8th inning. But the Huskies came back to tie it in the bottom of the 8th and then win it with a walk-off single in the last inning. Bulow-??s home run in the final game of the series tied him for the team lead with Trent Perry with seven.
