- Utah Valley University is set to face the University of Utah in the first of two midweek games on the next two Tuesdays. The teams will meet on April 10 at Smith's Ballpark at 6 p.m. and also face off at UCCU Ballpark in Orem on April 17 at 6 p.m. MT.

- The Wolverines are coming off of a series sweep at the hands of WAC-leading Grand Canyon over the weekend in Phoenix and are 12-18 overall and 4-5 in WAC play, currently in sixth place.

- The Utes one of three Pac-12 schools on the schedule. The Wolverines opened the season at USC, winning the opener before dropping the next two. In addition to next week's game against Utah, Utah Valley also hosts Arizona on Monday, April 30.

- Utah Valley was limited to just two runs in each of the three games at Grand Canyon. All three starting pitchers gave the Wolverines a chance to win, but sandwiched between two 5-2 losses was an 11-2 defeat, with the Lopes scoring 10 times over their final three at-bats to win going away.

- The series loss at Grand Canyon ended streak of three straight series wins for Utah Valley, while also extending GCU's WAC series winning streak to 12, dating back to the 2016 season.
ON DECK
The Wolverines return to UCCU Ballpark this weekend with a three-game WAC series against CSU Bakersfield. Start time for Friday's opener is 6 p.m. MT with Saturday also slated for a 6 p.m. first pitch and Sunday's finale at noon.
Following the weekend series, and next Tuesday's home game against Utah, Utah Valley will play 10 of its next 11 games on the road. Three of the final four WAC series will be played away from UCCU Ballpark.
ABOUT UTAH
After struggling early, Utah has gone 6-4 in its last 10 games, including taking two of three from then-No. 1 Oregon State the last weekend of March. The Utes also have wins over BYU and Cal in that stretch. Utah is 8-22 overall and 4-5 in Pac-12 play and has also won five of its eight home games.
DaShawn Keirsey, Jr is leading the team with a .400 batting average to go along with three home runs and 13 doubles. Erick Migueles has a team-high four home runs. Utah leads the all-time series between the in-state foes, 28-23, including a 15-10 home record versus Utah Valley. The Wolverines and Utes split two games last season, with each winning on the opposing team's home field. UVU has won four of the last five between the two.Â
