OREM, Utah – Perfect Game announced their 2024 All-Americans this week. Utah Valley's
Daniel Dickinson was named to the Second Team. It's the first time that he has earned the honor by the prestigious baseball scouting service and publication.
"Another day, another honor for Daniel. Being recognized by Perfect Game as an All-American is an honor that is fitting for the great season he had," said UVU head coach
Eddie Smith.
The Utah Valley sophomore, a key player in UVU's success, led the team with a remarkable .367 batting average in all 58 games for the Wolverines. His outstanding performance also saw him top the team's charts with 90 hits, 73 runs scored, 18 home runs, and 53 RBIs. He broke Utah Valley records for single-season stolen bases with 32 in 2024 and now has 42 in his UVU career, which also stands as the all-time record.
The recognition adds to his list of accolades, including First Team All-WAC, Dick Howser Semifinalist, and District 8 Co-Player of the Year by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association. It's been a busy week for Dickinson as he earned an invite to USA Baseball's Collegiate National Team Camp later this month and starts the 2024 Cape Cod season this weekend for the Harwich Mariners.
